Dr. Paul Allen Wallick, Sr. Scholarship
First preference: Recipient(s) must be a Pre-Medical major who has completed at least 60 college credit hours, with a 3.5 GPA or a high school GPA of 3.75 if the recipient(s) is a first time freshman.
Second preference: A nursing major who has completed at least 60 hours, been admitted to the UAM Nursing Program and has a 2.5 GPA.
All students must maintain a cumulative 3.5 GPA to continue receiving the scholarship.
The recipient must have a strong academic background, a strong work ethic, good personality traits, and excellent professional potential.
The Pre-Medical recipient must be selected from the following areas and with preferences given to the locations
First preference: Drew County, Arkansas
Second preference: Southeast Arkansas
Third preference: State of Arkansas
If no Pre-Medical candidates meet the selection criteria, a UAM nursing major may be selected who is classified as a junior or senior and has been admitted to the UAM School of Nursing and is from one of the above mentioned locations. If the recipient is a first time freshman, a high school GPA of at least 3.75 is required.
This scholarship is awarded for only the upcoming fall semester if the applicant meets the GPA and enrollment requirements specified for the award.
